Given the impact that the spread of COVID-19 has had on travel in 2020, it is important that our customers stay informed on our tour status and any travel restrictions or entry requirements that may be in place in their home countries or tour destinations. We continue to adapt to the global situation as it evolves and will continue to communicate with our travellers to provide the information and support they need. Please take note of the below updates

SUSPENDED OPERATIONS

 

Due to the closure of many international borders to destinations we travel to and government Covid-safe policy, all ULTIMATE group tour operations have been suspended up until and including Oct 2021. As of 15 Sept 2021, tours and operations from October 1st 2021 are scheduled to resume and depart as normal. Significant effort is made to advise customers as early as possible if further disruption will be experienced. Government guidelines are in place. All waiver of restrictions are per rules & regulations of NSW and Australian government

 

FUTURE TOUR DISRUPTIONS

 

If you are booked onto a tour from September 2021 and your tour is impacted by Covid-19 restrictions, we will notify you via email. We review our operation weekly and will make every effort to advise you of tour suspension as early as possible. It is important that you check your Spam folders. We also encourage you to check your flight status with your airline and where necessary, consult with your immigration department advice to reconfirm Visa, Entry and Exit requirements you may be subject to Australian government and border security forces.

Suspended Tours

If your tour has been suspended as a result of travel restrictions, bans or international border closures, the full value of your tour will be placed into ‘open date’ credit that can be applied to any future travel date. There are no validity restrictions on tour credits and you are not required to nominate a new travel date right away.

Is my tour going to be impacted ?

If your tour is impacted and suspended, we will be in touch via email. We rely on Government health department’s and policy in addition and work toward meeting the travel industries minimum standards to make decisions regarding resuming our operations.

Will I have to wear a mask on my tour ?

Masks may be required while on tour. We endeavour to make every effort to communicate the destinations covid-safe policies prior to your tour commencing. If the destination requires the use of masks in public places (eg. Public Transport or Tourist attractions) you will be required to do so. Disposable masks will be made available if they are required on tour

Is it safe to travel in 2021

Booking with us is easy. Our tour deposits are fully flexible and you can change your tour date up until 14 days prior to departure, for free. We are expecting international travel to resume by the end of 2021 and we are collectively excited to resume our operations and start delivering

Who is required to be vaccinated before they can join a trip?

Everyone travelling  must be vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of carriage, except for tours in AustraliaNew Zealand and the Cook Islands. 

All travellers* are required to produce:

  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination (both doses)
  • All children 6 and above must provide proof of vaccination, proof of recovery or a negative COVID-19 test.
  • If you are unable to be vaccinated for medical reasons, you may apply for an exemption. Exemptions will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. To apply, you must provide a medical certificate from a medical professional.

In all cases, you must be fully inoculated. This means you must receive the full dosage of the COVID-19 vaccine and allow enough time for immunity to take effect. Each COVID-19 vaccine has different dosages and timeframes for inoculation, so please check the relevant medical advice associated with your vaccine.

Are children required to be vaccinated?

Children between 5 and 12 years of age are exempt from the mandatory vaccination policy that comes into effect from 1 September 2021.  

In order to join, they must provide:

  • Proof of vaccination status (for children who are eligible); or
  • Proof of a negative COVID-19 test conducted no more than 72 hours before day 1 of your trip; or
  • Proof of recovery from COVID-19 (a medical clearance certificate from a medical professional)  

Children aged 4 years and under are not required to provide any documentation to travel with us

What vaccines do you recognise?

We recognise any vaccine that has been authorised for use by the relevant national authority for COVID-19 in the country where the vaccine was administered.

This includes well known vaccines such as Oxford AstraZeneca, Pfizer-BioNtech, Sinopharm, Sinovac, Sputnik, Johnson & Johnson, Moderna, and Covaxin.

What is required for proof of vaccination?

A copy of your vaccination record (either paper or digital) is required. 

For example,

  • an  NHS card with batch number (UK travellers)
  • CDC vaccination record (USA travellers)
  • EU Digital COVID Pass (EU travellers)
  • RT-PCR report (INDIAN travellers)

You will be required to present this proof at the time of booking or before 2 days the start of your travel

Are there exemptions to the mandatory vaccination policy?

If you are unable to be vaccinated for medical reasons, you may apply for an exemption. Exemptions will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. To apply, you must provide a medical certificate from a medical professional.

Please note that those with a medical exemption are still required to produce proof of a negative test conducted no more than 72 hours before day 1 of their trip.
